Havant’s Sport & Physical Activity Alliance (SPAA) was established in 2006, to provide local, strategic alliances of partners with an interest in sport and/or physical activity.
Members of Havant’s SPAA are made up of organisations within Havant who have a direct interest in the physical outcomes of sport, as well as partners who are concerned with the wider benefits and outcomes that sport has to offer.
The SPAA group meets biannually. Meetings provide a good opportunity for organisations to work closely with other SPAA partners, providing time to share project ideas and good work practices.
Havant SPAA is made up of key local organisations with an interest in sport and physical activity. Members currently include;

- Active Communities Network (ACN)
- Horizon Leisure Trust
- Innovations Fitness

- Havant and South Downs College (HSDC)

- County Sport Association/bodies and many more.

Thinking and Delivering Differently Grant Fund
Following the Hampshire Sports Conference, which focused on thinking and delivering differently, the Havant Sport and Physical Activity Alliance (SPAA) are pleased to announce that applications are now being invited for the new Thinking and Delivering Differently Grant Fund.
Applications are open to any organisations that working to engage new audiences within the borough in sport and physical activity opportunities.
Four awards of £500 are available. A Full criteria and application form can be found below. Please also refer to the Examples of Practice document, which may help guide your thoughts towards thinking and delivering differently.
The deadline for applications has now passed. Successful applicants will be notified in January 2020 and awarded at the Havant Borough Sports Association Sports Awards on Thursday 6 February 2020.
